Magnus Robot Figher from Dark Horse Comics

Magnus Robot Fighter Returns! Proud and excited that he has found another home at Dark Horse Comics. You may or may not remember that he was a part of the original Valiant Comics run in the early to late 90's. (If you do then check out Valiantfans.com) The founder of Valiant, Jim Shooter has also return to write these issues. If you have some time to kill, spend a few hours on Wikipedia, after searching his name. The man has done it all, so to speak.

Also returning from the pages of Valiant Comics are Doctor Solar, and Turok. Gamers may remember the Turok games from Acclaim when they owned the property rights.

I'll keep you posted with a synopsis of each issue. Welcome back heroes!

Transformers: War for Cybertron

I tried the Multiplayer Demo that was released on Xbox Live....and WOW. I'll definetly be picking this one up. The online deathmatch was way above the previous games....in terms of flow and playability, IMO.

Check out some screens, courtesy of x360a.org:

Latest Gamerscore Completion - Terminator Salvation

Added another 1000 points to my XBL account, Gamertag: Captain3Beers.

Played through Terminator Salvation....Wow what a SHORT play through. The achievement list was quite uninspired, as one completion on Hard difficulty will unlock EVERY achievement for this one. Eleven total.

The game itself was very boring, no real change in gameplay throughout the entire campaign. Also...you only kill 4 different enemies the ENTIRE game. Total time spent...about 4.5 hours. Definitely a rental/Gamefly rental than a purchase.

Also...Why wasnt Christian Bale in the game as John Connor???? Every other actor's likeness was used, but not him. The John Connor character looked like a skinny Carlos Mencia...weak.

Halo Reach Beta News from x360a.org

Halo: Reach Beta To Run Till May 19th
Written Wednesday, April 28, 2010 by Dan Webb

IGN is reporting this evening that Microsoft has told them that the upcoming Halo: Reach multiplayer beta will run from May 3rd to May 19th.

The site is also reporting that Bungie is set to turn on certain playlists of the beta at certain times throughout its 17 day lifecycle.

When players boot up their copy of ODST on Monday 3rd they will have access to the "Arena mode" (4v4 ranked Team Slayer), a Free-For-All playlist and also some "Grab Bag" playlists - which include a mix of classic and new game types.

The two unique modes won't be available on day 1, with "Invasion" - Spartans vs. Elites - set to be turned on sometime during May 7th and the "Generator Defense" game type seeing the light of day on May 14th.

In other Reach news, anyone who logs and plays at least one full game during the beta will net a cool Halo: Reach beta avatar hoodie, which can be unlocked after one game by browsing your stats in Waypoint - the free to download Halo portal on Xbox Live.

There is also a "Halo Multiplayer Unlock Weekend" making all the three Xbox 360 Halo titles free to play online for all Xbox Live members, starting on May 14th at 9am PDT and ending the same time on May 17th.

Last but not least, to those who own an ODST disc, there is a beta introduction available tomorrow via the game disc, so be sure to boot up the game and check that out.

Headed off to the Local Comic Book Shop

If your in Jacksonville, stop by this place and show some support.

Great stop for back issues and action figures.

Joystiq.com Halo Reach News

The Halo: Reach marketing machine is working overtime this week, as Halo Waypoint will release new content everyday until the Beta launches on May 3. If that isn't a big enough tease for you, the schedule of content the team at Waypoint sent to us still has a few "To be announced" placeholders. It's bad enough Halo fans need to wait, but waiting for the content provided to help diminish the wait for the Beta is just cruel, guys. Here's the Halo Waypoint schedule of content for the days leading to the Halo: Reach Beta.

In a recent Reach ViDoc, an Avatar award is briefly mentioned by designer Luke Smith as the only thing beta testers will start with when they begin their testing duties on May 3. Halo Waypoint will also see a title update sometime before the beta launches. While it's unconfirmed if the two are related, Team Waypoint recently tweeted more "details" would be released regarding an image of a "Halo: Reach Beta Tester" Avatar hoodie recently uncovered by NeoGAF; it's looking likely that this is the gear you could be getting for playing the Halo: Reach beta. The content schedule for Halo Waypoint can be found below.
